In the more serious cases, these red pimples become more inflamed, resulting in the accumulation of pustules, nodules and cysts. When these form together in groups, the condition is called “acne conglobate”.

Keeping your face clean and free from makeup will also help not to add to the problem at hand. Common medical treatments include azelaic acid, benzoyl peroxide and stronger oral antibiotics.
